I purchased tickets for my boyfriend's birthday, as he is a huge fan of Sawyer Hill. The Greek theater in Berkley provided a truly fantastic experience. It was fun in general admission, as we could search for prime seats rather than being confined to a specific one like at most shows. The downside, or maybe upside, is that it is an outdoor venue. To our surprise, it began to rain, not heavily, but enough to drench our jeans. Nevertheless, the rain gifted us with a stunning double rainbow during sunset and the delightful scent of fresh rain. Unfortunately, the tech crew erected tents and tarps over their equipment, blocking our view of part of the stage (and likely all of it for some VIP seats, haha). The show kicked off with RaRa Riot, which my boyfriend enjoyed, followed by Andrew Bird, who I favored. Overall, it was a fantastic show. I highly recommend arriving early to secure a seat with adequate back support (which I failed to do and regretted), bringing a cushioned seat, and dressing in layers.
